Here I am surfing the forums, and not one person is talking about the upcomming nocona chips due to be released in about and hour! They are intel's new xeon 64 bit, 2.8ghz priced at $209. Come on people, get your priorities straight. Anyone gonna get some?
 
Xeon's aren't so hot for gaming, so I'll pass. However, it's nice to see Intel join the 64 bit party. The more the merrier (well cheaper, as in for us to buy).

I'll start cheering when MS releases Win64 and Intel gets a clue and release a customer 64 chip anyways I don't care about Intel chips (well execept for Dothan, that thing just rocks!) ;)

I'm mainly an Intel user (since the 486 days), but I won't be buying a new one until the desktop Pentium Ms are released.

And yeah, Noconas aren't meant to be desktop CPUs - they're Xeons for servers, so it's not like we should all be wetting ourselves. Besides, I haven't seen any benches and performance tests to get me excited over it. When I see how they compare to Opterons, then we'll see.

lol, jk... its become my moms footstool now... the oldest chip i have on my hand is 486s and pentiums
 
i want an old 286! how cool, my oldest chip running as a celeron 1.3 ghz
i have a 800mhz celeron in the box still! lol
