these are my system spec:
AMD Athlon XP 2800+ Barton 333MHz FSB
ABIT NF7-S2 Socket A
Rosewill 512MB 184-Pin DDR SDRAM DDR 400
Western Digital 120GB 7200 RPM (same drive as reference in a different post)
LITE-ON DVD Burner DVD+R 16X, CD-R 48X, DVD+R DL 4X
ASUS A9550GE/TD/128 Radeon 9550 128MB DDR
AGI 300W PSU

also does anyone know why my system temp and CPU temp are so close?

the case is wide open right now with both side panels off and the temp in the house is 25C/76F

Why do you think it needs more power? Are you having problems?

yes and i can't pin point it, and its frustrating as hell.

Ok....... have you checked your voltages with a multimeter? Have you run the calculator in the stickie to know what you need for your system?

When does your system crash? Is it when you're doing CPU intensive stuff? Randomly? Immediately after turning it on? Have you tried MemTest?

That PSU is definitely WEAK, but it MIGHT not be the thing causing whatever you're having trouble.

I'd upgrade it anyway, though.

You don't need a stronger PSU. Your system is very basic and doesn't have any really power demanding components in it. However your PSU may be failing or be having general issues. You don't need more power, exactly. From the screenshots your don't look like your having power issues. However the onboard sensors aren't the most accurate. You really need to put a volt meter to it and find out. Also run memtest and some other diags to determine the problem. What does the system do exactly? I am sorry if I missed something but I didn't see an exact problem description for what your system is doing.

sorry guys, my problems with this board system are many and non-specific....

this is a brand new system so having trouble pin-pointing the problem

it all started with windows not wanting to load onto a 120 GB WD HD, this is what happens after formatting while still in the blue setup screen I would get message saying cannot save file xxxx.xxx please make sure windows XP disk is in drive and press enter (sometimes enter would work other times I could hit it until oblivion and still ask the same question) or it would get passed that and blue screen while still installing windows.

tried installing windows on the WD Hard Drive, using my P4 machine and it installed all the way through no problems...

just to be sure replaced the drive with a 200GB Seagate, installed windows still unstable will crash to windows after 1h while playing WC3, Doom3 after 7-10mins, system not vary stable...Loads with window errors sometimes..

have updated bios...ran memtest for 7 hrs no errors, swapped our ram from other system just to be sure...

have taken off heat sink and re-applied Arctic silver 5

tried reinstalling... got BSOD

how my system is running now
FSB: 166MHz
Memory: 166MHz
memory timings: 3-4-4-8 (what my memory is rated for)

I'm starting to wonder if it’s the motherboard....

my PMW temperature (I believe this is the Northbridge temperature sensor) seems to be running very hot... could that be my problem...

I think I might be at my wits end here.

Could be just the power supply... they throw out symptoms that can be really hard to point at the PSU.

The errors youre getting installing windows are typical of a memory problem. run memtest, it should at least eliminate that problem.

Serves me right for skim reading. Try Monitoring your voltages in windows using Speedfan/MBM, make sure to get them under load, your vcore/vdimm might be drooping when you get to load (by load i mean prime 95 + something like rthdribl)

Actually if you are going to ^^^^^ use a multimeter.

truthful i don't remember, i changed out hard drives and haven't gotten BSOD lately...
