Does Leakage increase with VCore

If i up my VCore will the leakage increase and thereby the loss which leads to higher temps. If so is it linear or exponential or how does it look.

Does any1 know?
 
depends. leakage is where the little electron guys go where they are not supposed to do. also called electron migration. it depends on the chip design, the individual quality of the chip, and how much voltage. sooner or later, it will leak if you give it enough juice.

whether it leaks or not, higher voltage = higher heat, period.
the relationship should be linear (EE's correct me if I am wrong)
