Does ICS slowdown performance in applications?

Im noticing some slowdown in 3d applications latley and Im wondering could it be because of Internet Connection Sharing?

my computer is connected to the web wirelessly then I enabled ICS on my built in ethernet port which goes to a switch with a few computers connected to it....

just wondering if this could be my problem or if running ICS should use a negligible amount of system resoruces?

ICS isn't the fastest solution, thats for sure. Remember that instead of a hardware switch/router you are doing it in software, which is slower. Also it depends on what you are doing on your computer at the time if there is enough resources to route the packets, and lastly you all share a wireless connection, which is much slower, especially when shared, then a wired connection.

ICS noticably slowed down my PC. It's going to take away resources on your PC to handle all the requests of the other PC's. I ditched it for a router and can't see ever going back.
