Does hyper threading help bottlenecking at all?

Getting a pair of 6950's and ill probably have to overclock my i7 920 to get the most out of it. I use a hyper 212+, so I'm thinking ill have to disable hyper threading to get to 4ghz at safe temps. That is, unless hyper threading actually helps with a gpu bottleneck....does it?

It depends if a game can use more than 4 threads. If it can then yes it can help. BF3 in 64 player servers is one great example.
