I didn't really know where to put this, so if its in the wrong place sorry. Anyway title says it all. I was just wondering for example if I set my Res. to 1600x1200 would I get a worse ping/lag then if I set it too 1024x768? I don't play at 1600x1200 but was just wondering. Or if I used AA or AF then if I didn't?

Thanks guys.

It won't affect your "latency", no.

You can play at 1024x768 or 1600x1200 and it will have zero effect on your actual latency. However, if your machine can't handle the higher resolutions, the drop in frames and subsequently cause latency.

Same response as above. Latency is determined by your connection. However, on your side, if your comp can't handle the game at whatever settings and causes skipping or high fluctuations in frames per second, then you suffer as well.

Ya and i'm sure many never realize the difference between poor framerate and bad latency, one must always be aware of how to distinguish the difference (fraps would help).

Games with good netcode implementions would not make you suffer latency based on frames. However, games like Quake III would. It depends.

Yep. You can only use a trial now. Has limits on the trial. 30 seconds recording too.
