Even if there were, just think of all the headaches involved? The Mods have enough "fun" with keeping an eye on the Forum...
 
We only control what we can control. Operating an IRC chatroom is a no win proposition. The posters either run wild or you become a nazi moderator....either way you lose.

Well im not saying anything mod'ed by Hard forums.......more of just a chat room to throw at us.......maybe have a few free mods or whoever feels they can mod a chat room, you know anyone spaming or whatever.......

/shrug just saying live chat is nice when you have a problem and you post at 2am and no ones up to answer it :p

Like I said before, many channels have been established in the past, start out well and then turns to shit. It's not worth the time and effort IMO, at least not from this end.

for the for sale for trade forum.......

wouldnt it be easier to make a WTB subforum, and a FS/FT subforum? or a subforum for all 3?

or well i guess that would give mods more work........ah well its a thought :p

In theory the sub-fourm idea would work well. In practical application it would a virtual nightmare. It took a long time just to get members to post the precursor WTB/FS/WTTF in their title and it still isn't in compliance in all too many cases. You have to remember that the forums are not static, but always in movement with members coming and going. What is learned today is lost tomorrow, but it does look good on paper :)
