Does FSB raise temperature?

My friend said only voltage affects temp, and FSB does not. So for example, at 1.375 for a e6750, the load temp will be same for 340 or 360.

is this true?

nope... any increase will increase temps, be it FSB, multi, or voltage... voltage plays a bigger part in stability

What he said. Total processor speed determines wattage, which determines temperature. Speed affects wattage linearly (more or less), so doubling the FSB without dropping the multiplier would roughly double the wattage, so the temperature would go up just from that. Voltage affects wattage exponentially, so doubling the voltage would quadruple the wattage- it's a much BIGGER difference, but both are important.

Voltage will have a much larger effect on temperature, but clock speed will still change your temps somewhat.
