Does FireFox "slow down" for anyone else?

When I first start up FF, everything is nice and snappy but after awhile it seems like things start to get delayed. For example: Clicking a link or switching a tab about 3 seconds for it to work. Also, when I'm typing such as here it'll just "stop" for a few seconds and continue later. Like I'll be typing and in the middle of a word I will have typed it but it just stops but finishes what I typed. Also, when watching movies I can hear sound fine but at certain moments it'll also "stop" for a few seconds and catch up later.

I'm unsure if this is all due to FF or my computer but due to how snappy FF is when I close and open a new window I'm leaning towards FF.

I had that once. It was due to a URL shortening add-on that tells you the URL that it is linked to before clicking on it. So I'd start disabling add-ons and see if the issue goes away.

Addons:

Adblock Plus.

Tab Mix Plus

Start disabling them one by one and see you can find the culprit. I wouldn't be surprised if it's the same one causing your issues with Aero as well.

I like to clear cookies and what not once in a while, but my firefox do crash maybe once a month

I am having the same issues and all i have is adblock plus, so it can be what is causing the issues. Also my FF has been crashing more with these add-ons as well.

My Firefox slows down, but I believe it is a memory leak in one of the plugins.

Generally after a few hours of use Firefox's memory footprint is up to 800+ MB. After a day or so at work it is around 1.2GB+ It crashes at around 1.5GB.

I want to say Firebug is the culprit, but it could be Web Developer, or Html Validator.

The only thing I've observed bring FF to a crawl were sites with poorly implemented Flash programming. Though my plugin list is also much shorter than the OP's.

Same here. Everytime that I open a new link, Firefox would stuttering on me.

Nowadays I use Google Chrome. The only problem that I still have with Chrome, is that sometimes it would crash when I save a web page.
