does Evga require reciept for RMA?

i have an old (8 months) evga card , and don't have the reciept ,

do they require it to be RMA'd?
 
Have you tried calling them ? I would assume they would need it.
 
I've rma'ed a 4600 to PNY and they didn't need one. I guess it depends on the company.
 
Probably not. I rma'd a ti4600 to gainward, didn't need it there. Same with Asus. None needed, just called them up, they said just send it in with the RMA number on the box. Everything went smoothly.
 
they can see when the product is sold and if its in warranty or not by the serial #

atleast hard drive companys work like that
 
Every company is different. I just RMA'ed a Visiontek 9600XT and they didn't ask for one. BFG does though - I'm RMA'ing one through them right now as we speak. . :rolleyes: I don't see why BFG does when the others don't though. Any of their cards less than a year or a year and a half should be a no questions asked deal as far as the receipt goes if you ask me. Luckily I had the receipt.

EVGA's RMA policy on their website doesn't mention needing a receipt. Most company's require you to register it before they'll RMA it.
