Does Everest provide accurate temps?

I was comparing the reported GPU temps. between the nvidia NVMonitor utility and Everest Home Edition v2.01 and there is a 10 degrees C difference with Everest reading lower. All of the other data about the system (ie. mobo, cpu, bios rev., etc.) is correct.

Do you guys have any insight into the discrepency?
 
I have the exact same problem but I don't know what the deal is either.
