Does E6420 have Intel Trusted Execution Technology and vPro support?

Does E6420 have Intel Trusted Execution Technology and vPro support which is a key component for "Safer Computing". Intel clauims that it is very useful specially in business world, a way to defend against software based attacks aimed at stealing sensitive information

TET: Not sure, but you need a TPM chip on your motherboard; I know my P5K doesn't have one.
 
VPro is not a specific processor. VPro is a package of hardware and software, which includes an Intel Core2 Duo processor, Intel chipset, Intel network adapter, and TPM 1.2 compliant chip. Very, very few enthusiast motherboards are VPro compliant because they don't include the TPM chip and use cheaper Marvell NICs in place of Intel's 82566DM adapter.
 
But recently I read this artical in wikipedia about 4 new conroe processors that will be released in July 22.

Out of which its clearly stated that "the E6540, will be launched with specifications similar to the E6550 but lacking Intel Trusted Execution Technology and vPro support."

So I was just wondering that "Intel Trusted Execution Technology and vPro support" is such an important component in security, which is not present in E6540. Will this technique be there in its previous release of processors like E6420 which is such a marvalous processor??

"Intel Trusted Execution Technology" is a CPU feature. The cut-down E6540 evidently doesn't have it. That is also one of the features required for VPro certification, hence the E6540 does not support VPro.
