Unlike CPU's do RAMs also have the potential to Overclock? I have 1GB DDR-2 667 Mhz from Transcend. Does it have the potential to overclock and reach somewhere around 800MHz??

It's closer to 333Mhz and yes it can reach 400Mhz (DDR2-800) if it's good enough. It's not worth it though to not just get DDR2-800. Overclocking RAM comes down to decreasing latencies or increasing clock speed because there is no standard (Higher than DDR2-1066)

So far I have'nt seen any Mobo which can support DDR2 more than 667Mhz. The latest high profile, high end Mobo Intel 975XBX too does'nt support more than 667Mhz.

Although it can support CPUs with FSB 1024.

I have'nt seen any Desktop Mobo which can supporting 1066 Mhz DDR2. Not sure about server boards

depends on the ram really, it all varies. some ddr2-667 (333mhz! ;)) might not make it to 400mhz, some might make it up to 600mhz... ;)

So what these RAM vendorers specify example DDR2-667Mhz is a lie? I mean it can give an output of just 333 or maximum 400??

DDR is Double Data Rate....so 400= 800...

DDR= Double Data Rate that supports data transfers on both edges of each clock cycle (the rising and falling edges), effectively doubling the memory chip's data throughput.

200mhz*2=DDR 400 (pc3200)
333mhz*2=DDR 667 (pc2 5300/5400)
400mhz*2=DDR 800 (pc2 6400)

Alot of people simply refer to lets say DDR2-800 as 400mhz simply becuase thats the actually clock frequancy, useful to know if OC'ing and other such endeavors.
The manufacturers of course are going to tell the public what the Highest/True speed is when properly configured in a system. So they are not telling lies, it's just like AMD calling a 2200 mhz processor a 4400+ ;)

Anybody else out there help me splain it better?

OK I got the point. Thanks a lot

It's been my experience that DDR2 memory overclocks far easier than DDR1 modules do.
