Does changing the voltage to a cpu, gpu help you overclock it?

I have:
P4 2.6 northwood oc'd to 2.9 Ghz
Bfg geforce 128mb 8x agp 6600gtoc ,oc'd to core 568 mhz, memory 1.13 ghz
abit msi ic7-G 478 socket mobo, handles 1ghz fsb
POS PSU now... but a cooler master 450W on the way...
2 x 512 mb DDR 333 Corsair oc'd to ~ 446 mhz (matches speed of processor at 223 mhz)

Question:
Does it help to up the voltage in the bios to oh say your cpu / gpu / mobo???

Does anyone know the correct voltages for the components I have?

The bios has 4 options to oc the video card. I can only run the second slowest option or I have to reset my cmos. any suggestions???

My 3dmark05 score is 3700 if that helps.

When oc'ing anything, once you have stability issues, a voltage increase will usually fix it and allow you to go higher. But remember, this cycle can only go so far until you hit the limit of whatever you're overclocking. Also, the added volts will add more heat, so good cooling is in order if you plan on maxing out your system.

BTW..it looks like you've hit the max oc already on that 6600gt....adding an NV Silencer 4 or 5, or the Zalman 7000 cooler will help with temps/NOISE alot, and possibly get you a few more mhz.
