I would have chosen a slightly different motherboard but...hmm...Not really no.

Post pics if you really have such a monster beast.

IBM's Blue Gene
:p

i have a 32 way POWER5 (1.9ghz with 1.9MB L2 and I think 32MB L3) box at work with 128GB RAM and 60TB storage (dual ported 15K RPM Fibre channel disks).

Its currently our test system, as we need to have a exact copy of our production system for testing (I work for a medical company with insane amounts of cash)

so yeah, thats my work toy, I win

Terra...

lol - owned :D

but back on topic - no, gaming-wise it's probably pretty much top of the line. i'd have gone for an X2 setup though and, as stated above, a different mobo. nice setup, though... at not so nice a price, i reckon

Two things...
It's a 74 GB Raptor x 2 (unless they are making 80 gig ones I don't know about)

You have all this in a TT case..... SHAME ON YOU

3rd (I know I only said 2 but it's my post...) I see no mention of Watercooling.

Oh yeah like said above.. no pics no glory :p

Oh and what the hell kinda spelling is this
"does anything can beat my beast"

i have the same case and mainboard as you. does maxtor make a 360gb drive or did you find a place to put a third hard drive? what hs/f are you using on your cpu? my psu (and yours) blocks anything higher than around 2 inches. doesnt it get a little toasty in there with the 7800, 3(?) hard drives, 2 optical drives, etc, without an intake fan? have you tried any of the modded bios's available for higher vdimm, etc? any usb probs? thanx.

very truly yours,
politenessman

Congratulations, you would figure you would be more knowledgeable about the hardware you have though considering I am assuming you mean...

Does anyone have anything that can beat my beast?

which you have 2x73gb Raptors, RAID?

Obviously though a very nice system, even though that is a lot of money to burn.

Couple things that could make it better:

DFI SLI-DR (SLI-DR Expert when it comes out)
2x1GB Crucial Ballistix
PCP&C 850SSI PSU
Depending on where your CPU hits the cold bug its hard to say what cooling would be best, but if you had a single-stage phase change it would definitely be faster. And then a dual-head triple cascade for the GTX's, volt-modded of course ;)

Dude, if he likes it, whats the problem? Stop bashing Thermaltake.

It's not my kinda case, I like the armor better, but if you're happy, sweet!

Does anything can beat your beast? I submit software powerful sufficiently enough will make bitch of your beast!

Nope. I bet that box, combined with your humble attitude and command of the language, really get you the chicks.

p.s.: Boast threads are never well received.

its a great case, just tip it back and you have a foot stand with a cup holder.

That's odd, he has a thread asking about a 6800:

Yet he claims to have 2x7800GTX's, that's curious

What's better than one Athlon FX-57? Why TWO Opteron 254's. :D

2xOpteron 254's (2.8GHz, 1MB L2) (Same as Athlon FX-57)
Tyan K8WE
5.0GB Corsair Registered ECC PC3200 (NUMA Enabled)
2xBFG Geforce 7800GTX's (SLi) 485/1350
2x74GB 10,000k WD740 Raptors (RAID-0)
CM Stacker
Enermax Noisetaker All in One 600Watt (SLi)
Audigy 2 ZS

You'll have the possibility of overclocking, and you've got a better sound card, but otherwise they are a good match for each other. Some apps would run better on the FX-57 based system and others, the dual Opterons. SMP/Multi-core systems are the future.

I might overclock some with NTune if I were running Windows XP Pro 32bit. Remember, no matter how bad you think your machine is, there is someone with a better one waiting around the corner. (Usually this person has a fatass wallet to go with it.)

EDIT! I found the case.

What's all this craze with 74GB Raptors, I have 2 Maxtor Atlas 73GB 15K SCSI drives that would smoke a pair of Raptors any day :D
