I am in need of a say 10inches to a ft of a usb cable, the reason I ask is I have a usb hub mounted on my laptop, and need a short cable to connect it together, not this 3 ft cable, if anyone can help please leave me a link or something, thanks guys!

You could always cut the middle portion of one out and then solder it back together. I've never heard of a USB calbe shorter than 3' though so I think the aformentioned method would work best.

Even better there are adapeters that allow you to connect 2 usb cables.

why would i need to connect 2 usb cables, is there not a company that makes 1 ft or less usb cables?

I have one thats 2' long...it came with my iogear bluetooth dongle...hope that helps...

1. Cut
2. Solder
3. Heatshrink
4. Smile
Done

I have a couple of 6-8 inche cables that I use
for the stuff I plug into the front of my PC. works great.

this would be best. and cheapest.

Yes, I do!... or more over could, as stated scrounge around for a usb cable that you can chop, cut out the middle, solder, shrink...

or if you have the ends lying around, you can use almost any damn wire you want (have some extra cat 5 make it usb) if you want i can make you a length... and for a little more $ i can make one where the usb-b end (the side going into your hub, not the flat end) lights up red, or for more $ i can make you one where both light up red or blue or red and blue... its

Well if you are not willing to make one hen here you go.

Hope this helps you out.

EDIT: It is the seventh one down.

How about take a three foot cable (since that seems to be the shortest avaiable at the local store), fold it in thirds (should make it about a foot), slide a lagre piece of heatshrink over the center and shink it? No cutting or soldering needed.

I believe that is the best idea I've heard.

lol

Hell you dont even need to heatshrink it. All you will need is some duck tape.
