Im planning a video card update in the next few months for vista and was wondering. Does anyone know what ATi has planned to counter the 88`s?.

Which reminds me that from my experience.
It seems like alot of geeks are mean little shits online and are quiet as a mouse in the real world.
 
I wasnt being a dick, notice my "read the boards, man!". Which, if read correctly, is extremely laid back sounding.

the R600 is the X2000 from ATI, probably jan/feb, confirmed to be unified architecture, GDDR4, and full D3D10 support.

rumors are 512bit mem bus, 700+ mhz core, and GDDR4 running at 2400 (maybe even 2600 depending on when ATI made the order)
 
True enough about the 'don't be a dick' comment, but if he spent 5 minutes looking at previous posts he would have got the information he wanted. There is a certain amount of etiquette to posting on forums, he didn't follow it. Note that this isn't a flame, but someone who is a tiny bit frustrated.

"yes, this is what ATi has upcoming, you can search the forums and find more information."

Just lock this trash.
Everybody is tired of people asking the same questions over and over.. which would be fine, but if the OP took the 30 seconds he did in posting ANOTHER thread about it, he would find a wealth of information on the same page as he posted.. ffs, he wouldn't even have to use the ever so feared a loathed search button.

I'm not trying to be a dick but you don't have to live on the boards if you use them the way they are supposed to be used. It would be nice if this thread's title had a little more information so people wouldn't waste their time clicking on it to find this mess. Sure forums are used to ask questions, but when theres a bunch of threads on this issue already, (or directly related) you don't need to go posting another thread. Please stop doing that.
