Does anyone know this CPU Cooler?

I saw a review a while back (can't remember where) for a stand alone cpu cooler that I think was phase/change?

Its made up of a part that attaches to the top of the CPU (obviously) and from there heat pipe looking things go to the back edge of the case where a fan and small phase change? unit screw on to a fan grill.

The whole thing is not that big and looks great for just CPU cooling for someone like me who does not want the hassle of water cooling a whole case - and from what I remeber this thing is quite a bit better than air cooling.

I just wish I could remember what this thing was called! Does this ring any bells with anyone?

There's two, the Vigor Monsoon II and the Titan Armada.

Yeah you're thinking of TEC cooling, not phase change. IMO anything that uses an air cooled TEC is a waste of time (see my experience in the Freezone thread) and the Monsoon is not without its issues as well. You're better off with a big heatpipe based air cooler w/120mm fan.

Thanks for the replies guys - it's not either of those.

The thing i saw was way smaller that those and the fan was not siutated in any kind of housing above the cpu - the pipes went to the side of the case and the fan attached to the side of the computer case i think.

My comments are on the last page, I found it to be worse than air cooling.

^^^ thats close to what I saw but it had heat pipes not pipes for coolant.

If i find it i will post back
