Hello,
I've recently purchased two games from Derfman, here's the link to the thread, and I haven't received anything yet. I've accounted for the shipping time between US and Canada, but it shouldn't take this long even with customs and all that fun stuff.

His last log-in on Hardforum was New Years Day. I've tried sending him emails and PMs but no responses so far. Money was sent on Dec 14, 2011, I've filed a dispute on Jan 28th with Paypal since it was the 45th day...I'm hoping this can be resolved soon or else I'll have to make a claim soon.

So does anyone know what happened to him?

Any news would be appreciated.

Thanks

Initiate to claim, that is RETARTED long and is more than enough time for him to respond. Were you provided a tracking number?

did you get his or her personal information since you wouldn't just give a complete stranger your money?
If you paid CC paypal you can always call your CC company and do a charge back.

if you don't have his contact info, you may be out of luck..he has not signed on here nor any of the other forums he frequents in over a month.

Hopefully PayPal refunds your money as it seems as if he has dropped off the grid.

For future safety, I live in Florida and i send out an SSD to a fellow member to Canada and he got it within a week so next time 10 days and you need to do contact/put hold on payment for time being.

Thanks for the replies everyone.

He had good heat and posted a lot here, and along with the dollar amount, I didn't take the precautions that I should have. Unfortunately, the only contact info that I have is his email address and his first and last name.

I've already escalated the dispute into a claim now...hopefully I get the money back. But if not, at least it's a cheap learning lesson.

And thanks for the shipping estimate, scbjmshpv, I'll keep that in mind as a reference for the future.

Thanks everyone again.

Everything has been resolved since Derfman has contacted me and gave me a refund...just waiting for it to clear.

Thanks and I guess this thread can be closed.
