Got a new set of Klipsch Pro Media 2.1's last weekend and I freaking love them. What im find though is the speaker hook up wire with the plug is is very succeptable to movement. If I move the speaker or shove the wire, the sound cuts out or goes scratchy. Basically, its just very touchy if I move the wire or the speaker.

Does anyone elses Klipsch system have this problem or is it just a traight of the system itself?

Happened on my stock wires too... And it also happens on my 16 gauge wires but only if the wire is moved about near the minijack.

Yup...mine does that..I'm planning to get new wires and soldier them myself

I have the 2.1's and they do that. Kind of annoying, but I just take them out, take a tissue and wipe them clean, put them back in and never try to touch them again.

I'd like to try that, but it seems rediculous that we have to go out of our way to fix a silly problem, that and what about our warranty...

I agree; but if you manage to get a new set of cables from Klipsch, it would be the same crappy cables they came with in the first place.

my sub died on my 5.1 Ultras just recently but AS USUAL, Newegg took care of me and some. ;)

God I love that company! :)

Almost everyone has this problem with the 2.1 and 4.1s.

Klipsch sells monster cable for these speakers off their site which fixes the problem, or you can make your own wires. Check out the forums on klipsch.com as it's a common question.

I agree with the Monster Cables being overpriced POS, but it did make a difference in my PS2.

Okay, people aren't saying that better cables are bad, only that Monster overcharges for them. It's a lot cheaper if you DIY or buy from one of the many other alternative brands.
