Just out of curiosity, I was wondering if anyone notices this on their 2001fp.

You know the edge of the screen, before the plastic casing - it seems the picture doesn't stretch edge to edge. The black area at the edges of the panel , the left is larger than the right. I've just noticed this and I wanted to know if its just mine or if it's normal. I've taken a look at a couple of LCDs at my work, but none have this issue.

It's as if the casing isn't assembled properly.

Same thing here, didn't notice till you said so! No gap on top or bottom though for me.

gah, mine's also like that but the gap is so small (and I mean very small) its not worth talking about.

It appears to vary from unit to unit. I've two units and one exchange and noticed it on all three. You should be getting the complete 1600x1200 area though. D-Sub connections can mistakenly adjust part of the image off screen. I've seen this happen 2-3 times, but readjustment generally fixes it.

Grrr... now that you pointed this out it will annoy me. Much like a dead pixel

sorry.. :)

I know analog tends to mess up on the auto-adjust, but I'm on DVI.. It's not the signal or anything. It's actually seems like the way the enclosure is assembled. As if it's a bit too wide, so the edges of the panel itself isn't covered properly..

It's weird how noone noticed it before., well I guess I'm a bit too picky.
