does amd's edge detect aa work in every game?

Everything edge related is a big confusion on both vendors at the moment, and on what generation of cards. Only FXAA/MLAA and VSR/DSR/downsampling work reliably today on everything.

I can say for a fact that SSAA works for any DX9 game on AMD GPUs, so there's that.

I used it in Skyrim. So it does for that DX9 title. This thru CCC now before with Radeon Pro.

SSAA & Adaptive AA work with most DX11 titles which have MSAA control in game. And those work with DX9 & OGL without any problems, even if it needs to be forced (older games).

Edge Detect only works if the game supports 4x or 8x MSAA and even then, its a hit or miss situation. EQAA seems to work more reliably but it's performance hit is too bad compared to IQ increase which imo equals to almost no IQ increase at all.

I usually just let the application control AA and move the slider to Adaptive AA which works with "use application settings" just fine if the game supports MSAA.
