Do you have to pay a restocking fee if you recieve a DOA Refurbished Video card from newegg? I am about to pull the trigger on this card but if it arrives DOA will I be able to return it without having to pay a restocking fee?
 
newegg is good about doa and defective products. once they recieve the bunk items they send one out with their express saver shipping .
 
back around August of 04' I purchased a refurbed Radeon9700 Pro from them (I think it was a Powercolor) that turned out DOA, apparently they do charge you a 15% restocking fee as they do not guarantee any refurb against DOA because the manufacturer tests their wares (well supposedly). Sometimes however you can get an RMA directly from the manufacturer but it's hit and miss, depends on who made it and thier return policies. If you are going to purchase a card, I'd try to get it from a reputtible manufacturer as the chance of DOA is lessened and they may be less of a headache to deal with if it is DOA.

OK, after saying all that, I've read over thier policy and they have a 15day guarantee on refurbs, but they are kinda hazy on the details, you might want to call Newegg and have them clarify their return policy LeArN2LiVe. I can't remember if they've always had that 15day guarantee or not when I made my purchase.
