I didn't know where to post this...

I drive my wife crazy because I keep all the boxes that come from my MOBO, Monitor, Case... everything... and I take up all the attic space. Do you do the same thing?

Yep. When I build a computer, I put all the boxes from components inside the case's box. Usually everything fits.

I have a whole corner of my basement devoted to storage of computer component boxes.

The real question is, how many of those component HD and DVI>VGA adapters do you have sitting around??

Actually I keep the boxes in case I have to RMA a part. If there's something wrong with it, its nice to send it back in its original box.

I keep the box only for the expensive stuff such as mobo, video card and psu. Other stuff such as the case, dvd, hd, and etc i don't keep.

yeah my mom gets pissed everytime she goes in the garage, I filled the hole back wall with my stuff.

if I buy it online (i.e. expensive) then I keep the box. If I buy it in a B&M (i.e. inexpensive) I tend to throw the box out.

Mobo - keep (newegg)
Case - throw out (BB)

Too much (5 DVI->VGA adapters i think). Actually the only adapter i ever used was the DVI->HDMI adapter included to my HD3870 :).

Yeah, I keep most of my boxes. They come in really handy when you sell something when your done with it or when ever you move. I once moved and I didn't have the box for my case, when all was done the side window was busted and there was a huge ass scratch on the left side panel.

I keep them because it makes resale much easier and it's great for shipping/transport and rma's

I usually resell my old PC parts, so the boxes of the new parts become the packaging of the old parts.

I do the same exact thing but I'm beginning to run out of space....:(

I actually compressed parts of 5 computers into 3 case boxes. There is another one box with case inside (Silverstone LC-11, without use for now) and i have 1 unused case not in a box (Lian Li PC-A09). But not counting that Lian Li and the box of 42 inch LCD TV, i was actually able to hide all the stuff into one bigger cabinet :).Now i have 3 or 4 m2 more free space in my room :D.

lol, my boxes are usually ripped into pieces by the time I get my pieces out of them. Maybe I get too excited when I get new stuff. :0

I have boxes to everything in my closet.
here you are...

Yep, I keep all my boxes here too.

It's fun to collect up all that stuff... it's weird to look back at it years later. Just to think that having a Pentium 4 was new at one time...

I keep the boxes for everything I could possibly resell later on. For everything else, I keep the box until the return period expires (from wherever I bought it from) or until the manufacturer's warranty expires.

Boxes are so much fun, when they didn't have computers back then they just used their imagination and creativity. Yes I keep my boxes too :)

mostly only just for warranty purposes or just incase i wanna sell.

i keep them for warranty purposes and for selling and the box for my case is as good as it's going to get for lugging that thing to a friend house for a LAN, and that's reason enough for me. i've got plenty of storage space though, so no worries.

yawp, i keep them all as well, i have them displayed around my computing area for people that come over and ask questions

i keep boxes for anything electronic and drives wify crazy hehe.
i stil have my old sega dreamcast box.

Yeah I do.
My mother gets pissed about it. My old room looks like PC box storage. There are hardware boxes everywhere. Fortunately, I live at college so I don't have to hear her bitch.

I also keep the boxes the parts were shipped in.

I had all my boxes saved in my room, but I came back from college to find that my mom had thrown them all out. Now I'm hoarding them in my college dorm

i only keep the small boxes like mobo, cpu but it like case and monitor boxes they go straight to the recycle bin..

yep dont know why, ...but i think it my be for when or if i ever sell something i would like to send in original box

Here are some pics, this is just the closet half heh. There would be lots of more if I didnt return shit!

I keep all my boxes...

And they fill my Lanbox's box right up. Just perfectly. I think I'll be needing a new box...

Why? No idea. I like them? I like having all the spare bits organized? e-peen waving?

Haha, that's a lot of boxes. You're even rocking dual PS3 boxes, haha.

But yeah, I keep a lot of boxes and things as well. I'm terrible when it comes to things like that. I have no idea why, but I keep everything. I always feel like there's going to be this point in time when they will come in perfectly handy. Like if I were to throw it out, that time would come and I'd be like "if only I still had that box, it would be perfect for this situation..."
