Do you have to have itune installed on Windows PC in order to jailbreak iphone 4S ?

Currently I don't have itune on my Windows PC. Do I need to install it in order to jailbreak the iphone 4S with Absinthe tool ?
 
Do not know for sure, never tried a jailbreak without iTunes. I would think that it would be required though since it installs drivers that allows Windows to see the device properly, and the jailbreak utils would probably not work without them.
 
If you don't have itunes installed, an iphone shows up as a camera storage device.
so you can right click and explore the drive and copy pictures/videos off it but that's it.

Do you need anything else besides those basic iphone drivers installed?
 
well itune is always a good tool for recovery/downgrade.. should save some offline installer for older versions of itune also
