So I was thinking about getting a usb display adapter for $15 from evga but is it a windows only deal or does it work in the bios and other oses like linux?

I am also curios.

Also, looking at the same devices, just a heads up the "12" version is only good for resolutions up to 1280x1024, the "16" version is good up to 1600x1200 and the "19" version is good up to 1920x1200...just a heads up because these piqued my interest as well.

Yeah I would just need basic functionality, I want to use one on a mobo that I need the pci-e slot but doesn't have integrated graphics.

Well, that's too bad, it's pretty much a windows only thing then.

Well new tech comes out all the time, I'm sure one is due around the corner. ;)
