Do these benchmarks look right?

I just got a new pc from pcclub and it isn't living up to my expectations. It seems to score low on benchmark programs and the cpu seems slower than what I expected. I have no experience in using a pc containing a dual core before this one though, so I'm left wondering if I'm imagining this problem and perhaps I expected too much.

I took the pc back to pcclub and the tech examined it for a day and basically told me that the processor is running as it should. He claims the Sisoft Sandra benchmarks are as they should be. My gut tells me this is incorrect so I took some screenshots in hopes of getting some opinions on whether these scores seem normal for this processor.

The pc specs are:

AMD ATH64 x2 3800
DFI lanparty UT NF4SLI expert
EVGA 7800gt x2
520w PSU
2gig Ram (4x 512)

Here are the screenshots of the scores:

http://mercury.walagata.com/w/coprinus/mark06.jpg newwindow - 3DMark 06 cpu score of 744

I have limited computer experience so would welcome any opinions. Thanks.

not sure about the other two benchmarks, but im pretty sure your cpu score should be at LEAST 1300+ for a stock dual core in 06..

Somthing's definately amiss there..

Because I'm not experienced with dual core procs, I'm not sure if this is correct, but have you applied the dual core fix for windows yet?

Yeah there is something wrong with ur chip. I have the same chip as u and getting about the same scores as of what sandra posted. Seems to me it could be a bad chip.

Thanks for the replies. Yes, those scores are all after the dual core fix was applied.

Guess its time to take this back to pcclub again :(
