Because it sure as hell kills mine!. Whats the deal? is it normal to have single digit framrates when things get busy in Dawn of War? It happens in LOTR Battle for Middle Earth and Homeworld 2 as well. Far as I can tell my system is in good shape. Doom 3 runs smooth so does Farcry, Vampire bloodlines gets choppy when in the city areas though otherwise great.Scores 5300 in 3dmark 05. Any ideas? recently reformated defraged, checked for virus's, spyware all good. Is it the Processor?Help.

So far I've not had any problems - last time I had some massive slowdown was on my 9800 Pro in Rome: Total War and that was after I had my army fighting the computer controlled army and we were bottlenecked on a bridge. I had my archers start shooting into the mass and my FPS dropped to -9789234987234.

Since then (and after upgrading my video card and reformatting) I've not had any problems.

Wha...??? People with uber systems actually admitting that their fps drop below 100 every once and a while?! BLASPHAMY!

Try running a C&C Generals skirmish mission with 7 AI opponents. About an hour into the carnage, when each AI opponent is nearing their max units, and three or four massive battles are going on, things can get pretty damn slow :D

LOTR: BFME makes my machine beg for its mommy during the huge battles. Talk about a CPU and memory killer.

Now all we need is someone with a 1.5 gigahertz p4 and a 9600xt saying the game runs perfectly with 6x aa and 16x af with all max settings!

Some uber system, I probably should of got a processor and mobo upgrade seeing how I play more rts games. Dont get me wrong my framerates doubled from my 9800 pro, for instance in homeworld 2 it went from 7 to 14 (only when there was a lot of stuff on the screen you know, when it matters most) . Is the 3dmark 05 score about right? in 03 I get 12000 or so.

LOL!! I was thinking the same thing.

It took me a while to accept the fact that even in 1280x1024 everything maxed 4xaa 8xaf in F.C. HL2, I will ocasionally have dips into the 20's.
