My coolermaster aurora ccfl just arrived earlier today and it is already on its way back to jab-tech.

It was HOT PINK!!!

Not light red, a ghey, flamboyant pink!

Dont believe the pictures, it is very pink.

Trust me, do not get this product!


(PS: dont take this as me crapping on coolermaster, i love coolermaster, i use the aero 4 and the temp monitor.)

I would use automotive taillight lens repair tape instead.

but he sent it back so it doesnt matter.

A. No it won't, CCFLs get warm, not hot. They are fluorescent, not incandescent, so they do warm up, but are much more efficient than a regular light bulb.
B. Saran wrap can take quite a bit of abuse (and heat). Have you every possibly, maybe, could have, sort-of thought of putting a food dish with saran wrap in a microwave? I do it all the time. It doesn't melt.

you can just get some theatrical gels (the colored covers for lights they use for stage lighting), a 2-3 inch strip would work wonders
 
Well, I had to get an RMA from jab-tech, and the guy reccomended the same thing.

I used it and it has a red-orange look now, much better.

So, you can get it, but make sure you have the cellophane ready.
 
You know lately i have been getting tired off my blue coolermasters... I have five of em on a windowed case... What should i do to lessen the light they emmit?

I have no idea what that saran thing is though...
 
Almost all red CCFLs are pink. If you want a true red, get some taillight repair tape from an auto store and slap some on there.
 
Yes i have tried the saran rap, and no it does not melt. Sure you can get brake light tape, but it is much easier and cheaper to just buy a roll of saran rap for 50 cents.

and who it was that said that he has 5 cc in his case, but wants them to be dimmer. GET RID OF 4 OF THEM!!!!!! i swear........

Nah, the saran wrap and theater gels don't compare to what I found a few weeks ago. Krylon makes a paint that's for stained glass windows. Goes on good and clear, it's dark red and man do my CCFLs look nice. I'll post some pics if I remember to.
