i went tthrough 2 straight sets of z-5300e's in around 2 months, and now i'm going for a 3rd. I'm using the asus a7n8x-e deluxe with onboard ac97. I find that whenever i touch the case, i get myself static discharged. I'm wondering if this discharge might be killing my speakers.

or should i get a sound card? i'm NOT concerned about sound quality right now, i'm more concerned about the safety of my speakers.

shocking yourself on your case should not short to your mobo, if it is you have too many standoffs. I still say your mobo will not kill your speakers.

i havent heard the best things about logitechs speakers in terms of product life. theyre great speakers, dont get me wrong, but i hear quite a few stories of ppl's logitechs blowing out on them after only a couple of months.

maybe you should try a diff brand.

joe, you've already posted four threads on the same topic..

It's very unlikely that the static is killing your speakers.
