• Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.

Do I want to know?

This may be the dumbest question ever, but aim high, I always say!

The Rules are firmly against Thread Hijacking and Thread Crapping. The first I can understand, even in face-to-face conversations it's easy to have a thought and go off on a tangent. But what is considered thread crapping? If it was just posting off-topic, that would be thread hijacking, so I guess that's not it. Is it dissing the topic of the thread, or dissing the OP, or what?

Just want to make sure I don't ever get in trouble for doing it, whatever it is. I get myself into deep crap enough already...

Thread crapping is posting useless and rude stuff in a thread.

For example, if you start a thread saying "My Xbox 360 is overheating, what can I do about it?" and I reply with "zomg Xbox 360 sucks, why didn't you wait for PS3??" That's thread crapping.

an inflamatory remark loosly tied to the topic of the thread or directed towards any one member in an attacking or insulting fashion.

Dude, what a stupid question.

^^^That is also thread crapping. :D

LOL

^^^Replying to thread crapping with inane comments is also thread crapping :D

Thread crapping:

"Hi, I'm trying to buy a new AMD computer"
"Zomg AMD sux buy cyrix"

That sort of stuff

For Sale Threadcrapping is easy....

saying anything that potentially decreases the value of what is being sold. I hate this type of TCing.

"Hi, I'm selling this 6600gt for $100"

"6600gt is teh sux. your asking to much"

^^^ That's a classic for sale thread crap. Note the poor grammar. You'll be able to spot them a mile away!

PS, Get a GenMay subscription... you won't be dissapointed!

I think there've been enough examples given for the OP to get the idea. ;)
