Do I Want Fast-Write On? or Off?

Hi, I have a Powercolor 9800 SE 128mb, I like the card. Its seems to do the job well. But I have Heard from some peaple the fastwrite is a option just for nvidea products... I was told to turn it off by a friend, Im not sure his advice is totaly correct.... So what do you guys think???

Im looking to gain FPS and just smoothness in games.

Do you guys know anything about fast-write?

I think it depends on the games and the hardware. I know a LOT of Radeon users on the SWG boards say they have to turn fast writes off in the bios or they have stability and other problems.

Doesn't seem ot be much of a problem for Nvidia users.
 
When I overclock my video card I get stability probs. But I also dont have any ram sinks.

By default my video card is core/mem 378.00mhz/297.00mhz

I have it running stable at 402.75mhz/299.25mhz

If I clock the core over about 410-20 or the memory over 305mhz it starts making artifacts in games and video in general.

Would the Thermaltake Memory Cooling Kit with Video Ram Sinks
be a good idea to get do they work well???

Would the loss of stability problems be from having fastwrite on of from not haveing ram sinks or a after market cooler???

What do you guys think?
