I'm getting a GA-K8N PRO-SLI mobo and it has a built-in 8 channels soundcard. Is it worth buying another one??
 
i've been using klipsche promedia 4.1 for more than 2 years. it's a great speaker and i love it although it's making a weird electric sound quite often lately. anywayz, i have an ancient soyo dragon plus mobo builtin soundcard now. i was just wondering how much improvement i would get if i get a separate soundcard.
 
5-10 frames and you would be able to have sound quality at high and your cpu cycles won't be used up. Plus you would be able to use eax, if you got a creative card. You can pick up an Audigy 2 ZS for about 40 bucks and you'll be happy you did buy a soundcard.
