Do I need a sound card???

This question may seem sacriligious to some pc owners, but I just had to ask. The reason is i blew my budget on my latest upgrade.
I haven't received the parts as of yet but i was wondering if I could use my new Logitech z-5500 with just my DFI LANPARTY nF4 SLI-DR 939 ie use the onboard soundcard or do i "NEED" to buy a soundcard. will all the wires and what not plug in the I/O of the motherboard or not? and will the quality of sound be drastically reduced due to the fact that I don't have a sound card??

You dont need a soundcard. Built in sound is usually 6 channels nowadays, especially with a new motherboard like that. You'll be fine. And if they are digital speakers (I don't know based on the name), new motherboards have optical out a lot too. So you're fine.
 
Sound cards can significantly improve the performance of your audio system, both in speed and in sound quality. A BlueGears HDA Digital X-Mystique 7.1 will let you use only ONE digital wire to go from your sound card to your speakers, and it will let you get 5.1 in both games and DVD's. Most onboard systems and most sound cards will NOT let you do that.
