I was changing my ide cables as well as sleeving my other power cables. When i went to turn the pc back on after i had finished it would not turn on. I rechecked all of the cables to make sure they were all plugged into my drives MB etc correctly. Again it won't start. I even unplugged all the power cables to the drives to see if the mb would just start and it wouldn't. I also tried taking an old ps and plugging it into the mb and a green light on my mb came on. It won't start up because the ps on my old pc isn't big enough but that green light wasn't on until i plugged in the cable from the old ps. Im wondering if i need a new PS or MB even? please any help would greatly be appreciated. Thanks

take the mobo off the tray and try it. I doubt it died, not by doing what you did.

so should i go ahead and order a new ps? the same one? i have an ENERMAX Noisetaker Series 470W. im really getting tired of staring at my pc. In your opinion guys you think its probably the ps? o and it actually turned on for a second once then shut off and hasn't turned on since.
