Hey guys. Well, I'm building a new computer and since I'm trying to not spend so much money at one time, I'm doing a part a month type of deal. I bought a Corsair 520HX sometime in february. Just today, I just decided to test it out. Note, before I go on I'm a complete newb with computers and computer parts. Anyhow, so I test it out by just taking the psu, plugging it into an outlet then flicking the rocker switch. I get nothing. No psu fan spinning. So then I thought ok, maybe it's just where I plugged it in. So then, I tried connecting a 120mm case fan to it and trying a different outlet, and I still get nothing. I really have no idea what to do at this point, thus I ask you folks since you are all experienced. I really hope I don't have to do an RMA because I never done one before and I REALLY hope something else is the problem. A quick reply would be great since I didn't see this coming at all and am a little frustrated.

You have to jump the unit by connecting it to a mobo or by shorting the green wire on the ATX connector to any of the black wires.

So technically, I'd have to wait until all my parts together to see if it works or not?

Alright, I just tried it and it works! Thanks for all your help Paul_Johnson, I greatly appreciate it. Now I have a new trick in my arsenal when it comes to computers.
