Do I have a bad stick?

I am runnin an Asus A8N SLI Premium at the moment.

Memory is G.Skill 2x1GB PC3200PHU2-2GBNS

The board wont boot with both installed in 1&3 or 2&4. The board will boot with 1 stick in slot 3, but it will not boot with the other stick in the same slot. Now I would guess this means I have a bad stick of ram, but it seems alot of these mobos have problems with certain ram. Is it worth RMAing the board or does it sound like the stick of ram is the issue here?

I would imagine that the ram isnt working properly if it wont boot up at all and the other will as they are identical pieces of hardware...

that's strange that one stick works and the other doesn't. in the bios, with the working stick, try changing command rate to 2T and bumping up the memory voltage to 2.7v, then put the other stick in and see if it works.

Having a hard time finding the command rate in BIOS.

I can see Tcl, Tras, Trcd, Trp, Trc, Trfc, Trwt, Twr, and then Memory Timing

I think its showing here as "1T/2T memory timing" If thats the case then its at 2T now and I upped the voltage to 2.7 and it still wouldnt boot. I can update the BIOS now.

edit: BIOS 1009

I can also now run with the one good stick in other slots. I am unable to get it to work with this one stick however. I even upped the latency to 3 and dropped down to 333, but that didnt do anything. From the looks of it I should cancel the mobo RMA and RMA the sticks instead.

Well luckily enough I found another PC to try it on. That PC would not boot up with this stick in it.

Granted I had two other mems in slots 2 and 3 but it wouldnt even post. No beeps or anything.
