Haha i got this game in korea about a year ago DJ Max and still i find this and DJ Max II the 2 best games for the PSP. Its insanely difficult but it is the reason why i buy my psp for this game alone lol. Anyone try this game or even own it? Share your experiences with it here. Its a rythm type game but very well presented, funny yet artistic soundtrack i just wish there were more games like this for psp in north america.

borrowed it from a friend , not my cup of tea at all.

and i love rythm games , just not this one

I'm sure a few people here notice me pimping DJMAX at every possible outlet, its by far the game i play the most on my PSP (well along with DJMAX2 :D, thank goodness for play asia imports )

As for my experiences itself...i usually do 6button on normal, but every now and then ill work on my 8 button skills. I can full combo 90%+ accuracy up to about level 11, but after that i have a rough time. Still trying to get hello pinky mx, but its a tough one for me.

IMHO, it's bitch-hard compared to most rhythm games, and that detracts from the fun rather a lot. The songs and such are pretty good, though.

I've played it an it's pretty great. I like the music selection that they have, and I play it normally wherever I go. I have both the first and second one, and it's always a good time waster. ;)

I liked the first one, second one would've been better if there wasn't so much eye-candy on the screen on the higher multipliers obscuring the notes coming down the screen. Didn't really care for 8-button mode either, I would've liked it better if they just added two more columns on the sides to account for the shoulder buttons.

Overall I thought the music was pretty good. Difficulty-wise it's not too bad on 6-button, but then again I've played IIDX a lot so there wasn't really much of a learning curve to play the harder stuff. Besides the few things I mentioned above (that probably only bothered me because I was more interested in just playing a portable version of IIDX), I thought the game was well made and a good buy for rhythm game fans that like that sort of gameplay.

As a side note, am I the only one that played the game by putting my psp on the floor/bed and pressing the buttons kinda like a keyboard? Trying to hold the psp normally just left me having to readjust my hands a lot in the middle of a song.

I played a demo of it before, I thought it was stupid. But then again these sorts of games aren't my favorite.
