diy x1900 cooling

so after deciding before i got it the stock cooler was crap i proceeded to fit a vf-900 onto the card as it had done a great job on my x1800xt. however it seems the x1900xt is just too much for the little zalman and the load temps are harldy any lower than stock, tho it is a lot quieter.

what i want to know is how many people have modified another cooler to fit the x1900, im thinking a cpu cooler of some kind. would work much better

If you do not have adequate air flow across from front to back in the case, your components will be running hotter than normal. Just a thought that might help.
