DIY Speaker Question

I want to build my own 5.1 or 6.1 speaker array using car speakers. My question is how can i change the Audigy's headphone like outputs into coaxial outputs for surround sound? In other words where the ?question mark? is on the diagram. Any other suggestions or comments would be appreciated.

you don't want to use digital out. You won't get anything but stereo in most things. Use the 5.1/6.1/7.1 minijacks out (on the audigy) to the multi-in (on the reciever)

"coaxial outputs for surround sound" = RCA input jacks.

Simple.
All you need is three mini to RCA cables

Now the problem with the link you sent me is that it turns 1 mini into 2 coaxial. I belive I would need three, one mini to one coaxial to make surround sound.

the digital out from the audigy will by far give you the best surround sound for dvds on your computer. for games and everythign else, you may consider using the analog connectors.

How did I know that that link would go to an auction for a Pivot?

I bought my Gede's off of ebay also, saved some cash for a dubious product at least.

Each minijack corresponds to two channels, so the mini>rca converter separates them out. You'll have to use three of these for surround sound in games.
