Working on a new project, and it's going to focus on my favorite creature, the Spider! Of course, not just any spider but the lady Black Widow. I've got the case and such, and most of the items set, most materials bought, except one thing - the fan grills.
I'm going to be adding a blowhole on the top of my case, and I want to make a very nice fan grill image on it. I've been inspired by two works here that did great fan grill work and I hope they can give some advice!
The first one, I'm trying to make the black widow herself. Here's the basic picture, but it's going to be smooth and symetrical. Sorry, couldn't find the exact image I want and my drawing skills are very bad.
Pretty much going to be a big bulb in the back with the red hourglass, a middle bulb attaching the legs, and a small bulb which will have some fangs protruding if I can do it.
Second is the hourglass for the back grill. I couldn't find the image on google so I just found a shirt that had it and ripped it off.
Might make one for the window and the power supply fan grill but I have no ideas what. I'll make a worklog, and maybe someone can give me an idea.
I'm going to try to fit these on an 80mm fan grill except there's 1 hitch - I don't know where to start. I really have never used clay or substance like it but I'm willing to try and work hard on it. What materials should I use, what kind of paints, and how do I attach it to the fan grill?
