Hi all,

For a side project I wanted to setup my own DVR, and I've just started looking into it. Just a box that I can set to record shows while I'm at school/work, nothing fancy. I was looking at a Hauppage 150 or 500, am I correct in assuming that it's fairly plug and play (ie install, drivers, software, up and running)?

Thanks in advance for reading and posting.

Yup.. very easy to setup. If you are just getting started into this, Windows MCE works great with scheduled recordings and getting the proper TV guides. It doesn't really take much of a computer to run either as long as you stay with standard def.
