Read this today, don't know if it is a repost or not ( I did a search first ), but this shows you how to do a backlight replacement for yourself....on the cheap too.

Might want to head this though:
Avoided damaging the bulb at all costs as mercury vapor has been linked to brain damage and cancer. so be careful.... unless your some arch-villain with a diabolical plan.​
