Now before I get deluged with repsonses of "Man you dont want to be using DivX, you should use.........!"
I just want to know if anyone has been using it and what the experience was. I dont care about other products, I am aware of them but I use this one. Thanks.
I've paid for and used versions 5/6/7 over the years and I got on just great with them all. They converted stuff just fine with no issues. Satisfied customer.
However, upgraded to 8 and wow, total turnaround. Buggy, errors, rips not working, files not supported etc. etc. Total nightmare. Worst of all...really really slow.
So much so uninstalled 8 and went back to 7. Back to normal.
When I look on the web, hardly a mention. I rarely if ever get issues with software, I've been around the block a few times and can fix most niggles easily but this was a total clusterf**k that I didnt stick around too long.
I notice that DivX's own support forum is "down for renovation" odd that you would do that shortly after releasing a new product. Hmmmmmm.
