This is what I am talking about. I am building this computer for one of my father's employees with a ATI Rage IIC and this is happening in windows

I tried reinstalling vid drivers but nothing really helps...

has anyone seen this before?
 
Is that the only place you see it? it could just be that some of the settings window's uses requires a feature that that card does not support. I believe its pretty old.

try some of these.

go into control panel/system/advanced

then choose under performance

"Settings" and start playing around with the stuff in there. see if anything changes.


also if you installed newer catalyst drivers, try going back to an older version something around when the card was in its prime maybe.

Wow...that was my first video card. :eek: Try bringing the hardware acceleration (heh :p ) down a notch or two and see if that helps..
