The highlighted OU would have a distinguished name of..

OU=1009,DC=domain,dc=local

and a user inside that group named Jared would have a distinguished name of..

CN=Jared,OU=1009,DC=domain,DC=local

Correct?

THEN WHY DOES IT NOT WORK!!! RAGE!

I'm trying to get AD authentication through FreeNAS. I'm missing something. I just integrated a web appliaction almost the same way just a few weeks ago.

Does the picture really not work? Works for me

pic works now, are you using LDAP://CN=Jared,OU=1009,DC=domain,DC=local? Never used freenas so not sure whats needed.

You know what.... I did use LDAP:// in my web app. No, I'm not using it here. I'll give it a try

Look at the pic. They even give an example of a DN and it doesnt include LDAP://
