For some reason my video drivers and sound drivers keep uninstalling themselves. Also, i seem to have problems with installing programs. Data gets corrupted or the installer fails to open. No viruses found. Also, Applications like firefox and office apps seem to crash randomly, it seems like they run out of memory or something. A while ago, when the problem got really bad, running error checking on the hard-drive seemed to help alot, but now the same issues seem to be coming back again. Help would be appreciated!

with light programs running, averages about 15%. keeps at 1-4% usually, then spikes up to 15 or 30-40 every few seconds. hope thats enough info.

A few things comes to mind:
- Faulty RAM
- Faulty HDD
- Do you oc anything?

Try checking your ram using memtest86.

Sure sounds like your hard disk. You could download Everest and go into "Storage" and then the "SMART" section. That has the Self Monitoring stuff for your hard disk. If you see something like a "Reallocated Sector Count" which is greater than zero, then you've got a problem. You might also see other values in the "Status" part which look bad. The other thing you could try is to run the torture test in Prime95. It has nothing to do with the hard disk but if you can run it for a few hours with no errors then it pretty much rules out your CPU, RAM, and motherboard as the problem.

thanks, it seems like everything i try lasts for a bit and then, well stops working
