I currently have a single VG248QE and I might be getting two more for a portrait setup, I was wondering if the displayport on the 780 allows a refresh rate of 120/144Hz (lightboost etc)

I'm just double checking before pulling the trigger encase I'm wrong here.

I think I found the anwser to my question, if I use an adapter for the Displayport (DP to DVI) I can use a single card because all three monitors have to match model and connection wise.

I haven't tested this out, but I'd assume you'd need to make sure the dp to dvi adapter supported dual link dvi at the least, and likely has to be made to support 120hz specifically. standard dp to dvi adapters are usually only single link, and thus limited to 60hz at 1080p.

Lightboost is DVI-D, and goes up to 120 hz only. 120, 110, 100 etc. 144 hz is non Lightboost max, but lightboost is actually better than 144 hz at refreshing. Color will be a tad more darker, maybe a slight different than standard mode. Get a good ICC profile.

Displayport 1.2 supports 120 hz btw.
