display settings keep resetting

I have a Samsung T24C550 and the display settings keep resetting to the default after 10 or 20 minutes or so. It's getting quite tedious constantly setting it the way I like it as it is too bright for me on default. I'm talking about brightness/contrast things like that, in case that wasn't obvious.

Anyone have any idea what the issue could be?

I had the problem win Nvidia drivers the Windows default would take over the Nvidia drivers until they fixed it because windows 8 would change it before the Nvidia drivers would get a chance.
Could be a driver issue if you can afford to reinstall windows do that....
Otherwise get a different monitor......

Yea, the Nvidia display controls have no effect on the symptoms.

I did email Samsung tech support and they say it is stuck in store demo mode and I need the remote to switch it back. Unfortunately, I do not have the remote since I bought it refurbished.

Are generic remotes capable of switching store demo mode to home/regular mode? The display is both a TV and monitor in one, but I only ever use it as a monitor since I don't have a cable subscription.

I get it now, I had to switch into TV mode in order to switch demo mode to home use. I had never bothered to set it to TV mode, since I don't watch TV with it.
