display resolution changing at start up.

I am lost i have googled this and so many people have so many different solutions which do not work. I have tried changing drivers, driver sweeper and many other things.
I have a GTX480 and the latest nVidia drivers. Every time I start windows 7 pro 64bit my resolutions are correctly set through the welcome screen shortly after logging in the resolution changes to something else. I have tried setting the resolution in windows and in the nVidia control panel. But no matter what it keeps reverting to these other stupid resolutions.

Has anyone dealt with an issue like this does anyone know what is causing it?
 
lol funny I finally figured out a fix after just posting this. I had been having the problem for weeks. It comes from microsoft live mesh remote connections.

The solution can be found here and is acknowledged my the live mesh team they plan to address it.

It took me a long time to figure it out because for some reason google searches just were not getting me close.
